Rev. 3.1 is very similar to the previous version sold in our store (Rev. 3), with some small consistency and surface finish improvements. First introduced Jan 23, 2021.

UHMWPE+ Linear Stems

Brought to us by jzun, we are happy to be the first vendor to offer these.

Produced in the US, using a proprietary blend. The blend features a high % of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE).

This captures the favorable properties of UHMWPE, primarily the lower coefficient of friction when compared to other plastics, while allowing for an improved sound profile.

Due to the self-lubricating properties of the materials, these will improve over time.

These are designed to be very close to original Cherry specs. As such, they may not fit in all housings. In our testing, they have worked in Gateron, Zeal, and Cherry housings. We encourage trying several different housings to find your preference. This also means that there may be issues with certain keycaps, particularly due to the surface finish of the material (slippery). (Keycaps will likely pull off more easily than they would with standard stems.) We can recommend GMK keycaps, but encourage experimentation to find the combinations that work best for you. If you are looking for a tighter stem-to-keycap fit, you may want to also consider Rev. 4.

These should not be expected to fit well with Durock POM Linears, Snow Whites, or other JWK linears from recent molds. They are a very popular match for Cherry housings, as well as other housings built close to OG Cherry specs. We encourage experimentation to find your preference.

We recommend lubing these as you would any other linear.
